  • I think my favorite video might be Marc-Andre Hamelin announcing his latest release of the Complete Hanon Exercises, still makes me crack up!

    Hanon never sounded so good!

  • I got a lot from the Seymour Bernstein vids, for instance about Bach's 2-part inventios, I do what he said to do, legato for the shorter notes and not legato for longer notes, it makes a nice contrast between the hands. Also he's very funny and entertaining.

  • The tutorial by Henry Kramer on Chopin Etude op. 10 no. 2 is amazingly good. Would love to see more from him.

  • I also think the videos where Ben Laude is being coached through Taubman technique (last movement Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata) and working on beginning of 3rd movement of Rach. 2nd concerto with Boris Giltburg are very useful. You can see minor adjustments that make a real difference to even a very advanced pianist like Laude.

  • I have two that I thoroughly enjoyed and have rewatched more than once:

Horowitz vs 7 Pianists: Chopin First Ballade

I would love to see the same type of video regarding Chopin's Fourth Ballade!

Blair Boone-Migura +1. I’d love more comparisons of different recordings of the same piece.
