workbooks and readable music for all courses /exercises (that can be printed- don't have iPad for practice and phone too small to read while playing)

Also: It would really be appreciated if all lesson exercises/scores & diagrams discussed/shown in video are included in workbooks - the latter do not always have all materials cited in lesson e.g. all diagrams, score excerpts. E.g.  Circle of Fifths lesson. Mozart 's Nachmusik is a major key exercise without score included, but score is shown for following minor (Paganini), and the connections between circle of fifths diagram also not listed.

Also, for Piano 101, it says there is a workbook but none can be accessed/seen.

Like others, subtitles would further add accessibility for those of us with hearing issues or other visual learners wanting a printable reference to practice from.

Tonebase has helped my learning tremendously- and fills in gaps my teacher can't offer - thank you for all you do. Excited too about Music offering!

Videos/courses will sometimes get stuck on a particular section and keep repeating the same section rather than moving onto the next lesson. For example, the Body and Finger Warm-Up course, my lesson has been stuck at the Daily Sitting Routine video "Step 6b". When that section's done, the same section will load and play again. Even when I pull up the syllabus and click on another section within the same course, it won't play. This isn't the first time this has happened.

I would like to see more piano selections demonstrated by the instructors with flowing accompanying notes at the bottom.

It would be great to learn Rialto Ripples by Gershwin from Jeffrey Biegel or other instructors?
I am having difficulty playing this in technical retention and relaxation and rag style. 😊

It’s a good platform. But it needs more repertoire breakdowns - outside of Chopin and a few other composers, there’s just a handful of pieces.

Angela Turner I agree. Composers that could particularly do with some more repertoire courses are Schubert and Brahms. Also, how about Fanny Henschel, Louise Farrenc and Mel Bonis, great composers neglected mainly because of their gender?

    I agree with Angela.
I’d like to see more in Handel repertoires such as Haydn, Kuhlau, Diabelli, Ginastera, Granados, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Alveniz , Liszt, Gershwin and many more 😊

    Dear TB,

What is the significance of the quotations that pop up when you log on to the website? Is it just for speed-reading tests? They stay up for a couple of seconds and then they are gone, leaving no time for the reader to grasp their meanings.

Below are a couple of things I'd like to see implemented on the Practice Diary (assuming that they're not already there and I just haven't found them).   I have contemplated using it but have not done so yet, because I think it might be a little inefficient and difficult to navigate around, one several entries get posted. Here's what might encourage me to utilize it:

    1.  the ability to bookmark an entry, so as to be able to refer to it on other ToneBase pages.  For example maybe I'd want to post a mistake-filled early version of a piece and then when discussing the piece on another thread, be able to send someone a quick link to my version in the Practice Diary as an illustration of a problem, etc.

    2. I'd like to see those little triangles implemented where people could expand or collapse a discussion under a single topic.  For example take a specific piece, make it a topic, and then post entries of problems and solutions encountered along the way.  Without being able to hide the related postings, a single piece could easily fill up many screens with verbiage (at least in my case!), making it difficult for readers and User alike to navigate around the diary to find references to anything else other than the latest postings.

I don't have any 'complaints' about ToneBase, it's been amazing to me. But fine-tuning some things like the above might encourage me to use it even more.  Thanks for a great site!

Here's another thing I'd like to see:  In the My Contents/BOOKMARKS page, I'd like to be able to organize my Bookmarks into folders.  e.g. separate  folders for Practice Tips, Repetoire, Recording/technology, Theory, Jazz etc.

That would help me locate and visit lessons that I had identified as relevant or interesting but didn't have time to watch when I first discovered them (often because I was scrolling to look for something else at the time).  While scrolling through the lessons, I bookmark many of them; but now I also have a lot of bookmarks to scroll through!

The folders would help me zero in on the particular topic when i'm ready to work on it, and make me more likely to view the lessons.

thanks for a great platform and for your interest in continuing to improve it!

That's a great idea and suggestion to put forward!

I would like to see option to create own folders of what we have watched and be able to categorise and so i can creat a currentlearning folder... and a watch later folder... otherwise its going to get messy!

Yes, that would be ideal. (I've deleted my inferior suggestion from 6 months ago).

I'd like to see more repertoire and tutorials for late beginner an early intermediate pianists.

I really wish you would add more repertoire tutorials, especially for beginner to intermediate level, not just virtuoso pieces.

This! The repertoire is tiny unless you are very advanced.

    I've noticed....

Thank you for changing the platform index selection in account. By separating the choose platform and other platforms... Sorry finding it hard to describe but glad you changed it for easier selection.

    That really helps

I would love to see a sports-style podcast, maybe weekly, discussing performances from around the globe. This could include chamber and orchestral music too. There could be “judges” or “musical pundits” who analyse each performance and talk clearly about the pros and cons of both the performance and the composition, comparing it with other interpretations as well.

There could be episodes where classical music is compared with other styles of music such as jazz, pop, heavy metal etc and their links to classical music and the influence of each style on each other.

I think this would be very engaging for a music-loving audience, and helpful to musicians as well. It will help people sharpen their musical wits and understand how to listen to music and what to listen for in a performance. It would be a great cultural contribution.

    Thank you,

    Max

I am writing here,  because I have already sent 6 emails with no answer.

I am writing to request a full refund for the Piano Monthly Membership charge of 41.96 USD that was billed on August 26th.

According to your refund policy, "Monthly subscription payments made within 90 days of the free trial end date can be fully refunded, and no later." I believe my request falls within this timeframe.

Thank you for your timely and early attention to this matter.

    Regards, Arturo Ochoa

You might try messaging  directly through the Tonebase messaging system. He can forward your request to the appropriate party. This is a fantastic platform that has occasional commucation challenges, but they all seem to be good people trying their best.
