Dominic's Practice Diary

Hey Everyone!

I am going to be sharing my practice updates when I can, because it also helps to organize my work by writing down all my deadlines and repertoire requirements!

Looking forward to sharing!

Hi Dominic, this Practice diary is a FANTASTIC idea!!!! I am so excited about it. I think it will be beneficial on a multitude of levels - motivation, insight into how other people practice, confidence for those of us who are not ready to share full performances yet, just to name a few. I am most eager to get started with this, but I can't seem to find how to post. I will keep searching, but would probably benefit from some assistance in that regards. Thanks, Jackie.

  • liked your suggestion . Keep this online Journal now. See if a year from now what progress we have made and how many of our Goals we have achieved. I have kept a Daily Journal for over 2 years. I sign in every day before I can play a note. Some days very general list of pieces or general comments. Other days a real Focus that I apply to every piece I am playing. Or, I list SAP spots in my music Smallest Achievable Perfection. I work on a spot I have bracked on a previous day. I think I will apply SAP method to your recommendation to Memorize right after adding my  fingerings, so I memorize as I learn a piece from the beginning.....not start to memorize after feeling I finished the whole piece. Looking forward to reading Your Journal.
