The 'Environment', downloadable music and Ipad software
Dominic has mentioned a few times that there is downloadable music at no cost but each time I Google I go to sites that say that they are free but then it appears that they are not.
Does anyone know the name of the site please?
For information, I have lots of music books that are many years old. My Urtext copy of Bach's Well-tempered Klavier was published in 1970. There are some really odd fingerings, or so they seem to me. It would be useful to see another Urtext copy to cross-refer.
Also, I am fascinated with how Dominic has the music on his IPad and turns pages and then flicks backwards and forwards through the music and then writes notes, such as fingerings, on the music.
What is this software? Is it the same software as that which he and others use to change the camera angle from the side to above?

You can either use Piascore which is free or Forscore which is a one time payment I think.

and then I use Forscore for my ipad to display them (writing and flipping pages). I find it to be worth the small payment! Almost every professional musician uses this app!

I quite like the Henle app, especially if you're looking for Urtext editions and alternate fingerings and some good note-taking abilities on the iPad. You do have to pay for their books in the app though, but I find the quality to be much better than a lot of IMSLP stuff.
Personally I tend to use IMSLP to sight-read and see if I want to dig into a piece, and then I'll go to Henle for a nice clean copy. I also subscribe to Scribd that has a lot of decent content and seems to be worth the membership fee.
Sadly, I don't Henle works with Forscore but I'll have to check it out.
