Apologies for the double post, and slow response. My posting privileges were blocked for a while. :(. Thank you to Dagmar Andrea Buckland for the feedback.

I'm reposting this my post earlier to get a bit more feedback (it was buried after my account was unblocked).

Here's my bass singing attempt (https://youtu.be/XE6X-EAITw4) and

    both hands. https://youtu.be/allBQjQ8nHw.

Thank you  Jared , I learn so much in this TWI!

Biggest take home for me - Don't just "sing in the head" -  singing out loud with singer-like long breath is critical.  Do the same for bass line and hear those harmonies.

So excited to relearn pieces with this new technique.   If i'm brave, i'll try it with as i'm learning new pieces too (seems every so much harder if i dont' already know the notes) .

Lc but covid started 2019, too! So your beautiful playing is a huge result of 5 years 😍

yes, I love theory! But it's so difficult to learn. I haven't found a place where it is taught here in Germany/my city surroundings. And my teacher is really great and supportive in correcting my technique, but when he talks about theory I don't understand one word, so I stopped asking him.

I watch videos an read theory books, so what happens is that I pick up many keywords and then hope to one day find another video or chapter that builds a connection to something else I already know πŸ˜†

For instance I know about modes, I can build them on any root, but I gave absolutely NO IDEA hiw to use them πŸ˜‚ whenever I try to play lydian other than C-D-C-D I end up in a different major key in 3 seconds πŸ˜…

So if you know a good online class for an affordable price? (I bought tonebase lifetime 2 weeks ago, so I am a bit short on budget now πŸ˜‚)

Thanks so much for your support and those kind words. πŸ₯°

    I HAVE to share this!

I had lessons today and played the Sostenuto from this TWI for him. (With a heartbeat at 160... I haven't been nervous to play in front of him for 2 years! But suddenly I was...)

Some glitches, but not too many

When I had finished he said: "What happened to your touch??!" Then with a big smile: "This sounds so much more like Chopin than usual! This was singing!"

    🀩

Thank you Jarred Dunn , this TWI alone was worth the subscription.

I am dancing home now 😁
