I already shared this in a general post, but since the theme is music you LOVE, I simply must submit this little piece by Alma Deutscher.  But leave it out if you have enough interest from others.  Kids-badgering-me permitting, I'll attend and listen to the rest of you to find out what you love.

I'm thinking of doing Philip Glass Etude #16.  And maybe Scriabin Etude 8/8.

Hi, Rodney here.  I would be interested to participate in the Valentine community concert.  I am planning to play Debussy's Reflets if I can get the arpeggios down.

    Thanks

I’m going to make another attempt at playing the second movement, Andante cantabile, from Mozart’s Sonata in B flat major K 333. I had meant to play that at the Holiday Concert but it ended up not working out with my schedule. Since I’m off the weekend Feb. 15/16, I have high hopes that I can do it this time. 🙂

I can't yet play the music I love, but I like some of the things I'm working on now. I'll post my selection closer to the date.

OK - It looks like something I've started in the past two weeks will be ready enough, and is quite enjoyable to play:  Burgmuller's Arabesque (below tempo), from the opus 100 set.

I'd love to play the Rachmaninoff Prelude in D Major Op. 23 No. 4. If there's more time, I can also play the Scriabin Nocturne for left hand.

I've been working on Liszt's Un Sospiro. I'd like to share it if it's ready by then, probably a recording since we're trying to go hiking on Saturdays (rain or shine!)

So... Un Sospiro is not ready, but I did record Chopin's Minute Waltz as a musical birthday card for my dad last month. Some of you may have seen it already, but it's short and sweet - here's the link in case there's time to include it in the recital: https://youtu.be/Bz0VMcRb4NU?si=iBv1_xlmns4P6Xxw

(Separately, here is my current progress video for Un Sospiro for anyone who's interested in watching on their own: https://youtu.be/DvxgKlIJfLI?si=pacaCPr3vQnlOhEH)

Thanks, and looking forward to hearing everyone else on Saturday!

I have been working on Messiaen’s "Je dors, mais mon coeur veille" from Vingt Regards. I’m completely in love with this piece and would like to share it. Due to time zone difference I will  need to record.

Dominic Cheli I will. I might run late though. I did not manage to record during the week and today is a little too busy. Hope to make it still.

I would like to play Schubert sonata d959 movement 1. A piece and a sonata, that has become very dear to my heart.

Sindre Skarelven Unfortunately, I need to withdraw from the program. I suddenly had to prepare for funeral playing that took place today, and haven’t gotten the chance to practice the Schubert this week. So once again, I need to save it (I promise to play it in the future!!)
