Hey tonebase community!
What a joy it is to share music with each of you. Thank you for taking the time to listen.
Will Green Two beautiful songs with different characters. Super great playing!
Will Green I love the Mendelssohn posts. Sounds very lush. Loved it!
Will Green the peace that passes all understanding....
Michelle R Amen.
Will Green Beautiful sentiments and beautiful piece.
Will Green what arrangement are you using? It's a little more energetic than the one I'm accustomed to hearing!
Michelle R It's a Dan Coates arrangement. I improvise a bit with it. Merry Christmas!
Will Green thanks! Our church uses a Dennis Richardson arrangement. I looked at the Dan Coats arrangement and can see why it sounds more lively. Merry Christmas!
Such FIRE in this piece. I love it. Don't you?
Will Green Sounds like you had fun with this one!
Pulling on every fiber of my being, this. What power! xx
You know, angels and supernatural forces which lie beyond 'natural' perception... they are with us.
This is for you, for my deep appreciation of all of your work. xx
Will Green I thoroughly appreciate the exuberance with which you approach each piece you play. Merry Christmas!
Thurmond R God bless you, Thurmond! +
Will Green There is much of Scriabin that I do not enjoy listening to. This Sonata, while not entirely pleasant (it seems so serious!!), isn't unpleasant to my ear either. Thank you for introducing this piece to me. I hope you'll be posting the other movements. I do smile at the passion and emotion you bring to the piano.
Michelle R Thanks, Michelle! x
Will Green Love, love, love Scriabin! Thanks for posting.
Leah Olson Thanks, Leah. :) x
Will Green I found this movement interesting - the second half was quite pretty. I'm not certain, yet, what I think of the first half, though! What I've discovered as Thurmond has expanded his musical repertoire, is that as we learn more about the composers and about the music itself, I can appreciate different styles (even if I don't necessarily like them) when I know more about them. So there is hope that one day I may even like Scriabin!!
My microphone is doing interesting things today, so please excuse the audio... but I hope you enjoy this short piece! xx
