TWI sign up for: Improvising A Simple ABA Piece With Jeremy Siskind

Anyone can improvise! When classical pianists hear the word "Improvisation," they often think of learning fancy jazz scales or studying the rule of the octave. But improvisation doesn't have to be intimidating! In this two-week intensive, pianist Jeremy Siskind will demonstrate how to improvise a twenty-four measure ABA tune without being a jazz or historical improv genius. Topics covered will include standard chord progressions, left-hand patterns, use of arpeggios, adding color using non-chord tones, and exercises for two-handed coordination.

Pianists of all levels are welcome.

Sorry but I am confused. I signed up for this. I see that the assignments have been published alongside groups. How do you know which group you are aligned to etc?

    • Steve Where do you see the assignments, please? I have not got any email about the groups and timeline. I am very confused about this course from the very beginning!

Michael Furmaniak Hi I am from the UK so a good 7 hours ahead time zone wise which might explain something perhaps.

鈥業f you go to forums and scroll down you get to the Intensives and the course is mentioned with the group numbers. The intro is there.

Not to worry I don鈥檛 have an email or some other communication either. I was just trawling through to try and find something. Maybe it is not set to go yet. All very intriguing. 馃榾馃幎馃幎馃幎

    • Steve Thank you Steve. I was looking everywhere starting with the main page not realizing that it is in https://piano-community.tonebase.co/ (not on the main page). I would just like to know which group I am in. I guess it does not matter. I will listen to the video and decide if it for me after all. Thank you again.
