Allemande from English Suite No.2

I watched Ann Marie McDermott's instruction on the English Suite and couldn't help noticing in measure 23 she left the G# out of the alto voice both times she played it. She played it beautifully but still I wonder what led her to make the choice to leave a note out. I'm assuming she did this on purpose because her playing is very intentional. I wish she would have mentioned this choice during the video. Any thoughts?
