Re: The Hidden Secret of Musical Codes in 18th Century Music with Dr. Antonella Di Giulio
@Susan Rogers That movement is one of the most haunting pieces of music I know of. I try to not get to emotional when playing it, but itâs difficult. Looking forward to hear you play it!âŠ

Re: Help with ornamentation timing for Minuet in G major
@Roy There are documents that explain how these where performed. J.S. Bach has a diagram of different types of ornaments that explain how they are properly performed.âŠ

Re: Help with ornamentation timing for Minuet in G major
Good question! The general rule is to play them on the beat, so that would be most in line with the baroque practice. In the end it's a matter of taste, and these rules can be broken.âŠ

@Andrea Buckland Thank you, Andrea! Yes, the Rondo will be a lot of fun to learn! There's no shame in not knowing much Haydn! I have listened to some Haydn, but have a lot to discover myself :)

Re: The Hidden Secret of Musical Codes in 18th Century Music with Dr. Antonella Di Giulio
I'm VERY excited about this challenge, and this month of 18th century music!! So much music I would love to play! I've decided to learn a sonata by Haydn, Hob. XVI: 38 in E-flat.âŠ

Sort of an âall-round pianistâ. I specialized in popular music and jazz in my education, but have focused mostly on classical in later years. I do some occasional arranging and composing.
