Re: Week 1: Taking your first steps!
@Sam Smith Hey, I think we are playing the same dwarf “movie” in our heads! DM me and I’ll show you a trick for doing those 5-note patterns. I think you have my contact info from Utako’s group?

Re: Week 1: Taking your first steps!
Here's my first practice video of the "March of the Dwarfs". It's really a fun piece but I clearly need to spend more time on it.

Re: What kind of Piano do you play?
@Jenny Harrison Good point, Jenny! My old felts had been needled so many times, we couldn't improve them any longer. So, I replaced everything!

Re: What kind of Piano do you play?
@Carol Chua I replaced all the felts and had MANY other things done to my family's 1945 Steinway. Despite the large investment, I was never truly happy with the results. I eventually sold that piano.

@Sindre Skarelven I bet if I had been playing something easy, I would have noticed AND I would have let out a big SCREAM. LOL!

Re: Tell us about your favorite memory performing for an audience (of 1 or more people!)
@Vidhya Bashyam It was only because the piano part was kind of tough. If I'm doing nothing important, like just walking around and even stub my toe...BOY, I would totally notice. LOL!

Re: Welcome to the tonebase Piano Community!
@Linda Clover I actually put an alarm on my phone to practice just a tiny bit before or after I eat! Even if I'm not at the piano, it gives me (at least) 5 minutes 3 times a day to review a piece.

Re: Welcome to the tonebase Piano Community!
@Linda Clover hi Linda! I'm also TRYING to start memorizing a bit...and it makes me VERY nervous. Tiny bits every day (or tiny "delicious marshmallows", as my friend @Juan Carlos Olite says).
