Passionate amateur; piano lessons starting at age 6 from my father, but professional teacher not until age 15. Since then, I've been practicing with a vengeance. Won a couple of prizes in youth competitions in my late teenage years but ultimately decided on medicine as my calling and profession. Couldn't imagine life without music in general and without the piano in particular.
